Position Overview:
Taymar Sales U.’s Director of Ticket Sales and Ticket Operations, Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, position will be integral in developing and executing ticket revenue strategy for the annual Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Game. As the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl prepares for its 49th edition of the game, this innovative leader will be charged with developing new initiatives to strategically increase revenue across all ticket verticals through proactive sales outreach in the city of Shreveport, throughout the Louisiana region, and with college football fans across the country.

Position Overview:
Taymar Sales U.’s Director of Ticket Sales and Ticket Operations, Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl, position will be integral in developing and executing ticket revenue strategy for the annual Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl Game. As the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl prepares for its 49th edition of the game, this innovative leader will be charged with developing new initiatives to strategically increase revenue across all ticket verticals through proactive sales outreach in the city of Shreveport, throughout the Louisiana region, and with college football fans across the country.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day oversight of ticket sales strategy and execution for all ticketed events.
- Plan, create, and execute a comprehensive year-round ticket sales strategy to grow revenue and attendance for the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl game.
- Strategically prospect new clients through outbound sales calls and in-person appointments.
- Effectively manage and develop inventory and ticket packages.
- Day-to-day oversight of operations of the ticketing system.
- Exceed all Ticket Sales revenue goals determined by senior management.
- Engrain yourself in the Shreveport community, developing key relationships and enhancing offerings to the business community.
- Assist in the sales process and activation of uncovering new corporate partners.
- Generate reports and track overall ticketing revenue pace towards goals.
- Work as a self-starter to innovate new initiatives to drive revenue for the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl.
- Represent the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl and Taymar Sales U. with the highest integrity.
- Work all Independence Bowl Foundation and Independence Bowl Events alongside the bowl’s staff.
- Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment to produce accurate results.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all internal & external units of the department to ensure a positive event experience for customers.
- Maintain past ticket buyer database.
- Accounting of all ticket money received for all events throughout the calendar year.
- Assign seats to customers, with respect to long-time account holders.
- Maintain a database of renewals and sending out renewals in a timely fashion each year.
- Monthly reports to the Board of Directors on ticket sales status or other news pertaining to ticketing.
- Handle all game day needs, including accurately accounting for ticket start-up change, maintaining and training game day workers on credit card machines, working with stadium staff to ensure a pleasant fan experience, and managing Will Call and day-of-game sales.
- Help coordinate the printing of all event tickets.
- 3+ Years sales experience with documented results in intercollegiate athletics or professional sports team revenue generation
- Proven track record and success developing, managing, and executing a comprehensive ticket sales strategy.
- Thorough knowledge of revenue processes and procedures.
- Effective communication (oral, written, and interpersonal) skills.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently.
- Ability to work various hours, including nights and weekends.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, communication skills, and desire & ability to learn in a fast-paced, highly competitive industry.
