Position Overview: Reporting to the General Manager, Taymar’s Account Manager position is an athletics sales-support role related to ticket and sponsorship sales at Austin Peay State University.  The successful candidate will be an active and energetic individual whose duties include involvement with ticket sales, sponsorship fulfillment & activation and providing client and customer service support across both realms.

Responsibilities: 
Operate in a hybrid capacity supporting ticket sales, fulfillment, activation and client services to include the following:
  • Ensure activation of corporate sponsorship accounts from commitment through execution, ensuring fulfillment and activation of all obligations.
  • Build relationships and expand business with current ticket holders and cold call new prospects and referrals to drive revenue.
  • Work in the assigned on-site location daily as well as go on in-person meetings out in the community.
  • Provide support and assist with the management of a portfolio of Athletic Annual Fund donors and deliver top notch customer service and dependability. 
  • Must be self-starter and able to work evenings and weekends when team functions take place.
  • Other related duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Sports Marketing, Advertising, or a related field preferred. 
  • 1+ years sponsorship, ticket sales, and/or development support preferred.
  • Strong grasp of the sports sponsorship landscape, including traditional and non-traditional inventory and assets
  • Comfort with business development activities and ability to build relationships quickly. 
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter, as well as collaboratively with a larger and extended team. 
  • Able to identify, understand, and mitigate any issue(s) to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, integrity, communication skills, and desire & ability to learn in a fast paced, highly competitive industry.
  • This is an on-site role and will actively collaborate with other revenue generation personnel, as well as team leadership.
